The "Iron Man", Cal Ripken Jr. was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007 on the first ballot. A two-time American League MVP, Ripken was a 19-time All-Star, has his No. 8 retired by the Baltimore Orioles franchise and was named to the MLB All-Century Team. On the inside front left tail is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “46” with washing instructions. Attached are two flag tags reading “SET 1 1989” and “3 INCH EXTRA LENGTH”. On the right sleeve is a “Rawlings” logo embroidered in black. Across the chest reads “Orioles”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “8”. Across the back on a grey nameplate is the player name “RIPKEN”. All numbering and lettering is done in black on orange tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
