This brown Louisville Slugger bat was created to recognize the accomplishments of the 1960 World Champions Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pirates won the National League pennant by seven games and when Bill Mazeroski belted that memorable ninth inning home-run in game seven, the Pirates dream season had come full circle with a World Championship over the N.Y. Yankees. In gold block letters on the barrel of the bat it reads "Pittsburgh Pirates World Champions 1960". Players names, which appear in gold lettering include: Murtaugh, Clemente, Mazeroski, Groat, Hoak, Virdon, Haddix, Mizell, Burgess, Labine, etc. The bat itself is in excellent to near-mint condition.
