The "Amazins" competed their cinderella season by staging one of the greatest upsets in the 100 year history of the World Series. Defeating the Baltimore Orioles 4 games to 1. The 1973 National League Champion Mets gave the mighty Oakland A's all they could handle forcing the World Champs to a decisive game seven before it was said and done. Arguably the 1986 NY Mets post-season will go down as one of the most exciting runs in baseball history. These three NY Mets black bats were made to commemorate the achievements of these great Met teams.
