In June of 1964, Ernie Broglio was considered a hot commodity. The season before, he had won 18 games and four years earlier led the league in wins. This prompted the Chicago Cubs to trade Lou Brock along with others to the St. Louis Cardinals for Broglio and others. The now infamous trade saw Brock shine in St. Louis and become a Hall of Famer. On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “46” with washing instructions. In the rear collar is a strip tag reading “12-1965-2-46”. On the left sleeve is the team’s “Cub Bear” logo patch. On the left chest is the “CUBS” official team logo. On the back is the player number “32” done in blue tackle twill. Although the player number in the strip tag reads “12” which is usually indicative of the player number the player number is “32” all-original and the jersey is in fantastic condition. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use and was originally sourced from the equipment manager Yosh Kawano.
