The most durable player of his era, ten-time All-Star Steve Garvey played in a National League record 1,207 consecutive games. Garvey exploded as a star in 1974, becoming a write-in selection to the All-Star team and then being selected as MVP of the game. He followed this by winning the NL MVP award, capping a nearly perfect season. Garvey was consistently a star player, winning four Gold Gloves while hitting over .300 with over 200 hits in six years out of a seven-year period. In the neck of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "42." On the left front tail is "Garvey 70" in blue chain stitch. Below this is the wash tag and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1970." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Dodgers" in script style letters made of blue felt. The player number "6" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the jersey. The number on the front is made of red felt twill and the number on the back is made of blue felt. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
