1960 was one of the truly great seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates who went on to defeat the New York Yankees in seven games to win the World Series. This uniform was worn during the regular season as well as in the World Series. On the left front tail of the vest-style jersey is the size tag "42" and adjacent is the "Rawlings Hall of Fame Flannel" label. Below this is "Oceak 44 60" in black chain stitch. The numbers denote the player number and year, respectively. On the inside left tail is the wash tag. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Pirates" and on the back is the player number "44". Both the name and number are made of black on gold felt. Included with the uniform are pants. Inside the waistband is white felt patch reading "44 36 23 ins. 60" in black chain stitch. The numbers denote the player number, waist size, inseam and year, respectively. Below this is another white felt patch with the name "Oceak" in black chain stitch. It comes with an additional letter from Oceak's daughter. It shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
