Willie Stargell is one of the great power hitters in the history of baseball. With his awesome power, he helped lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to the winning of the 1971 and 1979 World Series. On the left front tail is the "Spalding" label and adjacent is the size tag "46". Below this is the name "Stargell" done in black chain stitch. Below this is the wash tag and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1968". Across the front of the jersey is the name "Pirates". The player number "8" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The letters and numbers are made of black on gold felt. There is gold/black/gold trim around the armholes and neck of the shirt. On the right front is an autograph with the notation "My Gamer" in black marker that rates an 8. Along with this jersey is a black undershirt. In the neck of the undershirt is the "Rawlings" label with the size "42". Written on this label is the number "26" in black magic marker. On the tail of the jersey is another label with "Face 26" written on it with black marker. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
