A 15 year Major League veteran, Ken Boyer was an outstanding third baseman who had his best seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals. On the left front tail is the "Rawlings" label which includes the size "44". Below this is "Boyer 64" which has been done in red chain stitch. On the inside left tail is the wash tag and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1964". Across the front of the jersey is the name "Cardinals" in script style letters made of red on blue embroidered stitch. Going through the letter "C" is a gold embroidered bat with a red embroidered cardinal perched on each end. On the back of the jersey is the name "Boyer". The player number "14" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the jersey. The letters and numbers are made of red on blue felt. The name on the back of the shirt has been restored. The jersey shows game use and with the exception of the restored name, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
