As one of the premier players in the game today Sammy Sosa continues to rewrite the record books. He has recently become the first player ever to hit 60 homeruns in two consecutive seasons, and has joined Babe Ruth and Mark McGwire as one of three players to hit 50 homeruns in three consecutive seasons. A three time All-Star, Sosa has won numerous awards, and shows no sign of letting up. In the neck of the jersey is a white piece of cloth reading "21-48-99-1" denoting the player number, size, year and set number respectively. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "48." On the left breast is the Cubs red/white/blue logo. On the back of the jersey is the name "Sosa" and below is the player number "21." Both the name and number are made of blue on red tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Cubs emblem. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
