The "Iron Man", Cal Ripken Jr. was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007 on the first ballot. A two-time American League MVP, Ripken was a 19-time All-Star, has his No. 8 retired by the Baltimore Orioles franchise and was named to the MLB All-Century Team. On the front left tail is the Mitchell & Ness manufacturer’s tag. On this tag is a MLB hologram serial number “LH962753” authenticating the autograph and an additional hologram. Adjacent below is a strip tag reading “T.B.C. 4-21-96”. Inside the collar is an additional Mitchell & Ness tag with two attached flag tags reading “SIZE 48” with washing instructions and “2””. Across the chest reads, “Orioles” in black and orange chain stitching. On the back is the player number “8” in black felt lettering sewn directly onto the grey jersey. Ripken signed the front of the jersey in black ink and in our opinion the signature rates a near 9. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
