For the past decade, Jeff Bagwell has been the starting first baseman for the Houston Astros. In 1999, Bagwell established franchise records in HRs (263), RBIs (960), extra base-hits (598) and walks (878). His lifetime .310 batting average and nearly 1,100 RBI provides ample evidence as to the importance of Jeff Bagwell in the Astros line-up. This is a batting helmet worn by the perennial all-star during the mid 1990s. Manufactured by American Baseball Cap of Media, PA, the helmet is dark blue with the Houston Astros "star" emblem on the front of the helmet. The number "5" is in white and affixed on the back of the helmet. Inside the helmet is some padding and the size sticker which reads "7 3/8". The helmet shows good game use.
