In his 22 years playing major league baseball Hank Aaron proved himself to be one of the best players to take the field. A three time gold glove award winner Aaron played in an unbelievable 22 consecutive all-star games. In the 1973 season, at the age of 39, Aaron hit 40 homeruns, the most ever hit by someone of his age, which left him one short of the record. The jersey was manufactured by Medalist "Sand-Knit." The correct manufacturer's tag is sewn in the collar of this jersey and also has the size which is 42. Directly below this first tag is the year tag, which is "1973" sewn in blue on a white piece of satin. Both tags are original and authentic. The jersey has the "Braves" team logo across the front, which is white on red, bordered in white. Below the team name is Aaron's number "44" which is in the same color combination as the team name. The "44" is repeated on the reverse of the jersey, identical in every way to the front numbers except these are larger. The jersey, which shows very good game use and has no alterations of any kind, has been autographed by Aaron in blue sharpie within the second "4" on the front of the jersey.
