Overshadowed by his great managerial run with the New York Yankees, Joe Torres playing career was nothing less than spectacular. A .297 career hitter, Torre drove in 1185 runs and was named National League MVP in 1971. In the neck of the jersey is the "MacGregor" label with the size "44". Below this is a label reading "MacGregor Set 2 1963". This label also appears on the inside left tail. Below this is a white felt patch with the name "Torre" in red chain stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Braves" in script style letters and on the back is the player number "15". Both the name and number are made of red on blue tackle twill. The name on the back has been removed. On the left sleeve is the Braves "Indian Head" embroidered patch. The jersey shows game use and with the exception of the removed name from the back, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
