In 1985 Yankee legend Mickey Mantle was convinced to do an autograph show in New Orleans by one of his promoters. Mantle was highly disappointed by the turn out, or lack thereof, at the show. The offered autographed and inscribed baseball is what transpired on that day in Louisiana. As Mantle was closing the show, he was clearly frustrated and upset. This was the last baseball he signed at the event and the disgruntled Mantle added this inscription of “This is the last fuckin ball in N.O.” and handed it to the promoter in angst. Rawlings manufactured OAL Brown baseball with a beautiful Mantle signature on the sweet spot that in our opinion rates a near 9. Mantle added the inscription “This is the last fuckin ball in N.O.” on the North panel. EX-NM condition with minor spotting throughout the ball. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA.
