Some of these accomplishments include the breaking of Lou Gehrig's Iron Man record of consecutive games played, reaching the 3,000 hit plateau, and the election to 18 consecutive All-Star games. Ripken also prides himself on his defense and proof of this is the two Gold Glove awards he won in 1991 and 1992. This Rawlings Heart of the Hide Gold Glove Series mitt was used by Cal Ripken Jr. It is a Pro-6HF model mitt that shows good game use. Ripken's name has been embroidered in black along the outside of the thumb. The mitt comes with a letter of authenticity.
