Bill "Moose" Skowron hit over .300 in his first four seasons with the N.Y, Yankees and was on eight pennant winning teams and five World Championships teams. Traded to the Dodgers in 1963, Skowron helped his new team sweep the Yankees in the 1963 World Series by hitting .385 during the series. Skowron was traded to the White Sox in 1964 and retired in 1967 as a California Angel. This 1964 Chicago White Sox road flannel jersey was worn by Bill "Moose" Skowron during the 1964 season. In the neck of the jersey is the "MacGregor" label with the size "44". On the inside right tail is the "MacGregor" label reading "Set 2 1964". Below this is the wash tag. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Chicago" and on the back is the name "Skowron". The letters are made of blue tackle twill. The name on the back has been restored. The player number "14" appears on the back of the jersey as well as on the right sleeve. The numbers are made of blue on white tackle twill. There is an autograph on the left front of the shirt. The jersey shows game-use and with the exception of the restored name on the back, appears to have no alterations of any kind.
