Juan Gonzalez has become one of the most feared and respected hitters in Major League Baseball. Throughout the 1990s, Gonzalez has put up incredible offensive numbers and captured the American League MVP award in both 1997 and 1998. In 1998, Gonzalez led the Rangers to the Western Division title by hitting .318 with 45 HR's and a career high 157 RBI's. On the front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "48" and below is the "2" Extra Body Length" label. Below this is a label reading "19-48-98" denoting the player number, size and year, respectively. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Rangers" and on the back is a white nameplate with the name "Gonzalez." Below this is the player number "19." All the letters and numbers are made of red on blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "Texas Rangers Baseball Club" patch. The jersey shows good game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
