The Seattle Pilots had their inaugural season in 1969. Dick Bates was an original member of the pitching staff of this short lived team. In the neck of the jersey is a white flannel label with the name "Bates" in blue chain stitch. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size "42" and below is the year "1969" in blue chain stitch. On the left breast is the name "Pilots". The player number "46" appears on both the right breast and on the back of the shirt. The letters and numbers are made of blue on gold tackle twill. The front of the jersey has been restored; the back is original. The Pilots logo appears on the left breast above the name "Pilots". The jersey shows wear and with the exception of the restored front, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
