Voted the Most Valuable Player in 1959 while with the Chicago White Sox, Nellie Fox was the most complete second baseman of his era. In the neck of the jersey is the "Wilson" label which includes the size "40". On the left front tail is the year "1969" in light blue chain stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Senators" in script style letters and on the back is the player number "42". The letters and numbers are made of red on blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is baseball's "100th Anniversary" patch. This patch has been restored. The jersey shows wear and with the exception fo the restored anniversary patch, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
