This white knit jersey was produced by the Washington Senators as a prototype for Denny McLain of what his 1972 Senators jersey would look like. It was never worn, because the Senators became the Texas Rangers between the 1971 and 1972 seasons. The team name "Senators" is sewn across the front and McLain's name and number are on the back. In the neck are the Wilson size tag "44" and year tag "72." All of the letters and numbers are made of red tackle twill.
