As one of the Hall of Fame's newest members Kirby Puckett has solidified his reputation as one of the great players of baseball. The first ballot electee had a text book career batting .318, the best by a right hander since Joe DiMaggio. To his credit he has earned a batting title, RBI title, played on ten all-star teams, and was part of 2 World Championship teams. This collection of game used items includes a bat, cleats, and batting gloves. The bat is a louisville slugger with the labeling period 1986-89. It is a 34 ½", 31 3/4 ounce C243 model bat that shows great game use with a handle and barrel crack. The handle has been taped for grip. The cleats are Nike and have special velcro on the underside of the tounge that attatches to the laces. They show nice game use. The batting gloves are "Franklin" and have a "Major League Authentics" patch sewn on. "Puckett" is printed in white letters on the wrist strap. Puckett has signed each in gold marker with signatures that rate 6 and 8. They show nice game use. It is a nice grouping of game used items from one of baseballs newest Hofers.
