This pair of game-used batting helmets should have "MVP written on them. The blue Texas Ranger helmet was worn by slugger Juan Gonazlez in his days with the team, where in 11 years
he hit over 40 homer runs five times and won AL MVP honors in 1996 and ‘98. The helmet has the player number "19" in white numerals under the bill and the initials "J.G." hand-written in blue marker on the inside back. The blue New York Mets helmet was worn by Jeff Kent, who put up impressive numbers with the team but didn't blossom into one of the game's most dangerous hitters until he joined the San Francisco Giants in 1997. He won the NL MVP award last season with a .334 average, 33 home runs and 125 RBIs. The blue Met helmet has "Kent" in dyno-tapeplastic lettering on the front edge of the bill and on the outside back of the helmet, under the major league baseball logo. Both helmets show game-use, especially Kent's.
