John Smoltz was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015 on the first ballot. Smoltz won a World Series in 1995 and was named the National League Cy Young Award winner in 1996. His number 29 is retired by the Atlanta Braves franchise. On the front left tail is the Majestic manufacturer’s tag. Below is a white strip tag that reads, “50 05 S1” representing the size, the year, and the set number. On the left inseam is a “100% POLYESTER” flag tag with washing instructions. On the left sleeve is a Majestic logo embroidered. Across the front is “Braves” in red on navy blue tackle twill above the teams “Tomahawk” logo. Across the back on a white nameplate reads the player name “SMOLTZ” in navy blue tackle twill. Below is the player number “29” in red on navy blue tackle twill. On the back collar is the official “MLB” logo. Smoltz signed the back number in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
