On the inside back middle tail of this one year style jersey is the Spalding manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent on the left is a year “72” strip tag and adjacent to the right is a size “40” strip tag. Across the chest reads “Baltimore”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “3”. Across the back is the player name “GRICH”. All numbering and lettering is done in orange on black tackle twill. Grich signed in the rear collar in blue marker and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. Grich wore both numbers “16” and “3” during the 1972 season. There is a team instituted number change to accomodate Grich's mid-season player number change. There is evidence of a prior “16”. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and an autographed picture of Grich in which this exact jersey is pictured with the team instituted number change.
