Paul Molitor was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004 on the first ballot. Molitor won a World Series and World Series MVP in 1993 and was voted to the MLB All-Time Team. His No. 4 is retired by the Milwaukee Brewers franchise. On the front left tail is the Sand-Knit manufacturers tag size “40”. Adjacent is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Milwaukee Brewers” tag. On the inside rear middle tail are two strip tags, one reading “86-40” and “MOLITOR” embroidered in black. On the right inseam is a flag tag with jersey materials and washing instructions. On the left sleeve is the “SULLY” patch commemorating the death of Brewers equipment manager Frank Sullivan shortly before the 1986 season. Across the chest reads “Milwaukee” in script style writing. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “4”. All numbering and lettering is done in blue on yellow tackle twill. Molitor signed the front of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. There is evidence of prior framing. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
