Rafael Furcal had an outstanding year in 2000. In his first year in the Major Leagues, he had a .295 batting average with 134 hits and won the National League Rookie Of The Year award. Prior to his great rookie season with the Braves, Furcal was a member of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. This jersey, worn by Rafael Furcal during the Pelicans inaugural season in 1999, has the "AIS" label with the size "42". Across the front of the jersey is the name "Myrtle Beach" in teal on gold/black tackle twill. The right sleeve has the "Myrtle Beach Pelicans Inaugural Season" patch. On the back of the jersey is a gray nameplate with the name "Furcal" written on it in black tackle twill. Also on the back of the jersey is the player number "2" in teal on gold black tackle twill. Furcal signed the jersey at the bottom of the number 2. The signature is in blue Sharpie and rates at least a 9. There is also a color copy of a photo picturing Furcal signing the jersey. The jersey comes with a letter from the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
