The New York Mets are looking to Jay Payton to solidify their outfield for many years to come. This jersey was worn by Payton during both the 1998 and 1999 seasons. In the neck of the jersey is the size tag "46" and on the left front tail is the "Rawlings" label. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Norfolk". The player number "25" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The letters and numbers are made of white on red tackle twill. It comes with an additional letter from the Norfolk Tides Baseball organization. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
