In the 1950s a company had the idea to make a ceramic mold of various MLB players gloves and engrave their signature on the mold. The project was never completed, but they did receive multiple signatures from many players on paper. Included in this lot are more than 145 autographs from many MLB stars. The signatures are highlighted by multiple Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Charlie Grimm, Warren Spahn, Eddie Matthews, Monte Irvin and many others. The majority of the players submitted five signatures in blue and black pen and in our opinion rate between 7-9. Also included is a ceramic prototype of what one of the gloves would have looked like and a drawing of the prototype. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
