Marquis Grissom went 2 for 5 in the Brewers' 7-6 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. He singled to center with two out in the second inning off Cardinals starter Pat Hentgen. Mark Loretta walked sending Grissom to second but Geoff Jenkins lined to right stranding Grissom at second base. Wth the Brewers down a run and two out in the fourth, Marquis scratched out an infield hit off Hentgen, sending Luis Lopez to third. Grissom was then forced at second on a fielder's choice off the bat of Loretta to end the threat.
