Kobe Bryant earned the league’s MVP award during the 2007-08 season, averaging 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. A five-time NBA champion, Bryant is a surefire first ballot Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee when eligible. On the front left tail of this throwback jersey is the Adidas manufacturer’s tag with four attached flag tags reading the size “54”, “CLIMALITE”, “2007-2008” and “LENGTH +4”. Handwritten on this tag is the player number “24” in black marker. Adjacent above is a “HARDWOOD CLASSICS” tag with an attached flag tag reading “1987-88”. On the upper left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered and on the upper right chest is the Lakers “60th ANNIVERSARY” patch. Across the front reads “LAKERS”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “24”. Across the back reads the player name “BRYANT”. All numbering and lettering is done in purple on white tackle twill. Bryant signed the front of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “MVP” and in our opinion the signature rates a near 8. Adjacent to the signature is an Upper Deck hologram serial number “SHO52421”. In the rear waistband of the shorts is the Adidas manufacturer’s tag with the player number “24” handwritten in black marker on the “PLAYER ID” area. Attached are three flag tags reading the size “44”, “CLIMALITE” and “LENGTH +2”. The official “NBA” logo is embroidered on the bottom right leg and there is team piping running down the sides. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and a D.C. Sports LOA.
