One of the greatest outfielders to ever take the field, Roberto Clemente was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1973 after having been killed in 1972 in a plane crash on his way to deliver relief supplies to earthquake victims. This 8 ½"x11" magazine photo has been personalized and he has added "Best Wishes Roberto Clemente". The blue ink signature and inscription rate an 8. Also included is a 3"x5" index card which Clemente has signed in blue ink and the signature rates a 9. The last item in this lot is a black and white picture postcard of Clemente which has a facsimile signature on front over which has been written, in Clemente's own hand, "To Steve Best Wishes". The card has also been addressed by Clemente. All items are in very good to excellent condition.
