As a sports fan, Richard Nixon was perhaps best known for drawing up a play for the Washington Redskins in the Super Bowl, but he was also a great baseball fan. In November 1969, in his first year as President, he sent a cordial note from the "Nixon family" to American League MVP Harmon Killerbrew. On White House stationery and signed "Richard Nixon" in black ink, the letter and signature are in near perfect condition and has one central fold. The lot comes with a postmarked envelope signed by Killebrew in blue ink rating an 8.
