This All-America Baseball award, from 1951, honors HOF pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander as a member of the 50 year, 1900 to 1950, baseball team. The brown framed, in very good to excellent condition certificate has some slight discolorization and a very slight crease. The frame measures 16" X 20". The 12" X 16" certificate itself has been signed by Connie Mack with a near 10 signature. Ten sportswriters from major league cities, have also signed this piece, as well Christy Walsh. Grover Cleveland was a Cardinals World Series hero in the 1926 victory over the Yankees. Cleveland won two games and saved one with his famous strikeout of Tony Lazzari, with the bases loaded.
