Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939 Lou Gehrig remains one of the greatest players the game has ever seen. Playing along side Babe Ruth the two paired up to form the most dominating one two punch in the history of the game. Gehrig was both an offensive and defensive threat hitting over .300 12 consecutive times while at the same time amassing an incredible streak of 2,130 consecutive games. This incredible 5x7 photo of Gehrig has been signed "Best Wishes Lou Gehrig" in the lower right hand corner. The signature rates a near 10 and is nice and bold, being signed on a perfect area of the picture. The photo is in excellent condition with one small tear at the top edge and some minor wear. One the back of the photo are very light stampings that in part read "Acme". The appearance of this stunning piece can not be described in words as it is arguably one of the finest examples that exists.
