Lou Gehrig made a cameo appearance in a western movie entitled Rawhide. That helps to explain this 11" x 14" black and white photo of Gehrig and his "Yankee" companions, manager Joe McCarthy and owner Jake Ruppert. All don cowboy hats, while Gehrig is fully dressed as a cowboy, saddled on a horse and showing off his hand gun. The fountain pen inscription on the top left reads, "To Ed - My Kindest Personal Regards - Sincerely - Lou Gehrig". Gehrig's message and signature rates 4+. McCarthy and Ruppert have also inscribed and signed in fountain pen on the bottom right side of the photograph. McCarthy's signature rates a near 9 and Ruppert's rates a 7. The photograph has cracks and small tears along the top, a tear on the left side and a crack on the right (there is tape behind the tear and crack). The item is in fair to good condition.
