In the Roaring 20s, Robert Trent "Bobby" Jones was to golf what Babe Ruth was to baseball and Jack Dempsey was to boxing. The Atlanta native electrified the links in winning the U.S. Open four times and the British Open three times. Jones was so ballyhooed he was given ticker-tape parades twice in New York City and was the first man enshrined in golf's Hall of Fame. These typewritten letters, written in the 1950s when he was the world's foremost designer of golf courses, remain in excellent condition. The letters are signed in blue ink with a simple "Bob" rating 8s or better and include the postmarked envelope in which it was sent.
