These letters are mementos of two of golf's most beloved immortals. Slammin' Sammy Snead dominated the war years, winning almost every tournament he played in. In 1940, Hogan put together an unheard-of streak of 56 consecutive in-the-money tournaments. After a near fatal automobile crash in ‘49, he returned to win the second of his three Open titles. Typed on off-white paper, the letters are in excellent condition with only gentle fold marks. Hogan's simple "Ben" is in bold black ink. Snead's full name in blue ink rates an 8. All come with postmarked envelopes.
