A mint julep is nice, but these two lovely pins and souvenir glass from two Kentucky Derbys are a more lasting way to feel the vibes of the storied "Run for the Roses." The round 1969 pin is 1" in circumference and depicts a gold-colored horse and rider inside a green outer ring with the words "Kentucky Derby 1969" in gold lettering. The pin comes in the original box which is black with a gold "Commonwealth of Kentucky" engraving. The 1990 pin is 3/4" x 1" and has the famous Churchill Downs clubhouse looming over a jockey and hard-charging horse. The date "May 5, 1990" is etched in small black letters against a gold background and "Kentucky Derby" is written in light blue at the bottom next to red roses and under a blue "116. The glass is also from the ‘90 Derby and has the same design only larger and colored slightly differently, and a listing of all Derby winners on the opposite side. All three items are in near mint condition.
