The indelible image of Bobby Orr scoring the Stanley Cup-winning goal in 1970 against the St. Louis Blues while diving headlong through the air is among hockey's greatest highlights, and likely one that could not have been created by anyone else who ever played the game. Orr wasn't just the NHL's greatest defenseman of all time. In a 12-year career cut short by knee problems, he changed the way the sport was played. Defensemen weren't supposed to rush the puck up the ice and score with it, but Orr did, twice leading the league in scoring. In 1969-70 he became the only player to ever win all four major awards – Hart (MVP), Conn Smyth (playoff MVP), Norris (best defenseman) and Art Ross (scoring) – in the same season. He scored 20 or more goals seven straight times, 100 or more points five times. By scoring 270 goals and 951 points in 657 games, Orr forever took the shackles off defensemen who wanted to turn on the green light. This Bruins road jersey was worn by Orr during the 1968-69 season. In the neck of the jersey is the "Wilson" label. On the front is the Bruins emblem in black/gold/white tackle twill. The player number "4" appears on the back of the jersey as well as on each sleeve. The numbers are made of black on gold tackle twill. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. This great shirt comes with an additional letter of authenticity
