Gene Carr was a center on the New York Rangers for two seasons (71-72,73-74). The 1971-72 Ranger team was filled with talent and faced off against Bobby Orr and Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals. This New York Rangers home jersey was worn by Gene Carr during the Stanley Cup year of 1971-72. On the inside back tail is the "Cosby" label and adjacent is the size tag "48". Below this is the wash tag. Going diagonally down the front of the jersey is the name "Rangers" and on the back is the name "Carr'. The player number "9" appears on the back of the shirt as well as on each sleeve. The letters and numbers are made of blue on red tackle twill. shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
