Dennis Potvin was the team captain and heart and soul of a New York Islanders team that won four straight Stanley Cups in the 1980s. In the neck of the jersey is the wash tag and adjacent is the size tag "48". Below this is the "Cosby" label. On the front of the shirt is the Islanders emblem in orange/blue/white embroidered stitch. The player number "5" appears on the back of the jersey as well as on each sleeve. The numbers are made of blue on orange tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
