There were few stars during the beginning days of the NBA, but standing tall among them was Hall of Famer and Top 50 all-time selection Dolph Schayes. He joined the league in its very first year, playing with the Syracuse Nationals and hanging around to see the game develop into one of the major American sporting institutions. He was a 12-time All-Star and offered here is his 1961 All-Star jersey sourced directly from the Schayes family, which took place in Syracuse. Schayes scored 21 points and added 6 rebounds in the contest. On the inside front middle tail of this durene jersey is the Wilson manufacturers tag size “46”. The player number “4” appears on front and back in blue tackle twill. Six red tackle twill stars surround the front and back player number. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Schayes family LOA and a Photo-Match.com LOA grading the jersey a perfect 10.
