Bernie Masterson played on three straight unbeaten Big Six championship teams at the University of Nebraska. He was selected All-Big Six in 1933. Inside the crotch piece is the Lawlor Sporting Goods Co. distributors tag with a size “44” box tag adjacent to the right. In the rear collar is a Shea Knitting Mills tag. The player number “38” appears on the front and back in white tackle twill. The built in arm pads remain intact. Inside the rear collar of the letterman sweater is the Lawlor Sporting Goods Co. distributors tag with an attached tag reading “MADE UNDER KNITTED OUTERWEAR CODE AUTHORITY”. On the right inseam is a white felt strip tag reading the player name “Masterson” in red script style chain stitching. Across the chest is the Cornhuskers large “N” logo in red chenille. Minor staining is seen on the sleeves and the front but the sweater displays beautifully. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Masterson family LOA.
