"There's no substitution for winning, none. Never forget that." So said Arnold "Red" Auerbach, coach of the Boston Celtics during their unmatched dynasty of the 1950s and ‘60s. And for any Celtic fan worth his weight in memories of the Boston Garden's parquet floor, there's no substitute for this remarkable team photograph of the 1959 championship team signed by all 11 players and Auerbach, as this was the team that began the team's run of 8 straight NBA titles and 11 in 13 years. The sepia-toned, 20" x 24" print of the team includes hand-signed autographs of Auerbach, Bill Russell (a true rarity in itself, given Russell's longtime aversion to signing autographs), Bob Cousy, Bill Sharman Tom Heinsohn, Sam Jones, K.C. Jones, Jim Loscutoff, Frank Ramsey, Gene Conley, Ben Swain, Lou Tsioropoulos, and trainer Buddy LeRoux. The print was signed at a Celtics' reunion show in Taunton, Massachusetts in January, 1996. The signatures, all in clear view, were written in sharp blue felt pen and all rate a near perfect 10. The print itself is also in pristine condition. It comes with a letter of authenticity.
