Mickey Mantle knocked this baseball clean out of Busch Stadium in Game Six of the 1964 World Series to mark the penultimate home run of Mantle's fabled record tally. It was the first pitch delivered by Cardinals southpaw Curt Simmons after he hung a curveball to Roger Maris, who broke a one-one tie with his answer. Mantle's blast would establish this sixth inning power surge as the first back-to-back World Series homers since Ruth and Gehrig.
