While scouting college talent before the 1970 draft, one NBA GM saw Nate Archibald in a hotel and thought he was a bellboy. But after he was picked in the second round by the Cincinnati Royals, "Tiny" Archibald made bigger and brawnier defenders carry his baggage. In 1972, the mercurial 6-foot-1 point guard became the only player ever to lead the league in points and assists in the same season. Archibald later had an inspiring comeback from severe leg and Achilles injuries to spark the Boston Celtics to the 1980-81 title. Over a 14-year career, he scored 16,481 points and dished out 6,476 assists. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1991. This size-40, zip-front, green Celtic shooting shirt was worn by Archibald during his years feeding the ball to Larry Bird and Kevin McHale. It has a "Sand-Knit" label inside the neck, the Celtic leprechaun logo sewn on the left breast and "Nate" stitched on the right breast in white scripted lettering. The name "Archibald" is stitched across the back in white capital letters. The shooting shirt shows wear.
