Before there was an Eveready battery, there was John Havlicek. Moving endlessly without the ball, the 6-foot-5 Havlicek would come around screens, grab a pass and fire up a 15-foot jumper, a routine he did enough to become the first NBA player to rack up at least 1,000 points for 16 straight seasons from 1961-77, and 26,395 points overall (sixth all-time). After winning an NCAA title at Ohio State in 1962, "Hondo" fit in perfectly with the Boston Celtics' sum-of-the-parts system, first as the league's top sixth man, then as the heart and inspiration of the team in the 1970s. A 13-time All-Star, he was a vital part of eight Celtic championship teams. This classic Celtic home white and green fleece warmup jacket was worn by Havlicek during the team's mid-‘60s dynasty. It has the "Wilson" label and size-44 tag. "Celtics" is stitched across the front of the button-down jacket in green capital letters with a gold border. A green snap-on nameplate is on the back with "Havlicek" in gold, and the Celtic shamrock is on each sleeve, which like the neck is trimmed green and gold. Havlicek signed his name on the green nameplate under his name in black marker, with the signature rating an 8. He also signed under the Wilson label inside the neck in blue pen, and the signature rates a 7. The jacket shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
