Even in his rookie year, Magic Johnson teamed with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers to bring "Showtime" to the NBA, and Johnson was named the first ever rookie NBA Finals MVP in 1980. The jersey offered here can be dated to Johnson's 1979-80 rookie season because it was the last year the Lakers used this style of trim. On the front tail is the "Tiernan" label. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Lakers" and on the back is the player name "Johnson." The 3D-style player number "32" appears on both the front and back of the jersey. All of the letters and numbers are made of purple on white tackle twill. The jersey shows good game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It has been signed by Johnson below the numbers on the back in black Sharpie and the autograph rates an 8.
