Boasting a reputation and one of baseball's best closers, Dennis Eckersley also showed flashes of brilliance as a starting pitcher. Eckersley became the first of two pitchers in MLB history to have both a 20-win season and a 50-save season in a career. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004 on the first ballot and is a member of the MLB All-Time Team. Beneath the inside rear collar is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42”. Below is a strip tag with “43 87 1 42”. At the left chest is the team large “CUBS” patch done in red, white and blue embroidery. On back is the player number “43” done in blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the team “Cub Head” patch. On the right sleeve is “Rawlings” embroidered in white. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as Spring Training game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Cubs LOA.
