Robert Parish was nicknamed "The Chief" after a character in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" who smothered people with a pillow. The 7-foot Parish's weapon of choice were long arms that smothered many a shooter and uncorked a dependable hook shot. A nine-time All-Star, he played a record 21 seasons, for four teams, and ranks No. 1 all-time in defensive rebounds with 10,117. His Celtics teams won four NBA titles in the ‘80s, and Parish is second only to Bill Russell among all-time Celtics rebounders, as well as third in points and first in blocked shots. Parish wore this green Celtics jersey and warmup jacket during the 1993-94 season, his last with the Green. The jersey has the "Champion" patch with the size label "46" and "Body Length +3". On the left shoulder is a black patch with the number "35," worn by the team that season im memory of Reggie Lewis, who died during an April 1993 game. Parish signed the back of the shirt on the left "0" of the player number "00" under the name "Parish" in black marker, with the signature rating an 8. The jacket has the exclusive "Champion" label in the neck with the size label "50" and "Body Length +3 Sleeve Length 0." Parish signed the sewn-on nameplate on the back of the jacket in black marker on a white area next to the name "Parish" in green capital leters. The signature rates a 9. The front of the jacket has the white and gold Celtic clover on both sleeves, the "NBA" patch and "Celtics" in white and gold lettering across the front. The jersey shows game-use, the jacket shows wear and they appear to have no other alterations of any kind.
